Is the theScore Bet casino app separate from the sportsbook?
Both. We read theScore Bet and Hollywood Casino listings on the App Store and Google Play on 18 October 2026: one developer, two downloads, four states.
Is the theScore Bet casino app separate from the sportsbook app? It is both. Hollywood Casino runs inside theScore Bet Sportsbook Casino in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and the same developer, Score Media and Gaming Inc., also publishes Hollywood Casino - Real Money as its own download on the App Store and Google Play.
This is a reference answer, not news: the two-app structure is the finding, and the store figures below will drift.
What do the two apps’ store listings show?

Neither App Store page showed a version number in the part this desk read, so the table carries none. The two builds sit 0.4 MB apart and Google Play shows both updated on the same day. That fits a shared codebase; it does not prove one, and this desk did not install either app.
Both stores rate both apps 18+. Both listings’ own copy says “Must be 21+”. We report both as printed. This desk read no regulator register for this post.
Is the theScore Bet casino app separate from the sportsbook app, by PENN’s account?
PENN says plainly that it is both. Its 1 December 2025 release on the rebrand says Hollywood Casino “remains accessible within theScore Bet” in the four states and is also a standalone app there.
The theScore Bet App Store listing agrees from the sportsbook side: blackjack, slots, roulette and live dealer games under the Hollywood Casino name, available in MI, NJ, PA and WV. The Hollywood Casino listing names the same four states and a partnership with Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races in West Virginia.
Does one login work in both apps?
PENN’s 19 August 2025 release on the West Virginia launch said customers could log in to the standalone Hollywood Casino app with their existing ESPN BET credentials. That release predates the rebrand, and none of the four store pages read here restates it for theScore Bet accounts. Treat a shared login as PENN’s 2025 statement, not a current store-page claim.
The same cluster of questions, other operators: BetMGM, FanDuel and DraftKings.
Questions people ask
Does theScore Bet have a casino?
Yes, in four states. The theScore Bet Sportsbook Casino listing on Apple’s US App Store, read on 18 October 2026, says the app brings Hollywood Casino games to the phone and that Hollywood Casino is available in MI, NJ, PA and WV. The listing names no casino state beyond those four.
Is Hollywood Casino part of theScore Bet?
It is both. PENN’s 1 December 2025 release says Hollywood Casino remains accessible within theScore Bet in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and is also available as a standalone app in those states. Both apps list Score Media and Gaming Inc. as developer on the App Store and on Google Play.
What states is theScore Bet casino available in?
Four: Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, as named on both apps’ store listings read on 18 October 2026. The sportsbook’s own App Store copy lists 20 U.S. markets, while PENN’s December 2025 release said 21 jurisdictions. We report each figure as its source prints it and do not reconcile them.
Is theScore Bet the same as ESPN Bet?
It is the same platform under a new name. PENN’s 1 December 2025 release says it completed the rebrand of its US online sports betting platform to theScore Bet, and that existing customers reached the rebranded app that morning. On Google Play the app still sits under the package name com.espn.bet.

Both listings carry welcome offers; we do not reproduce them, and they differ by app, so read the terms in the one you open. We cover apps as software, not as places to win. Both listings say 21+, both print 1-800-GAMBLER, and PENN’s August 2025 release says its apps carry responsible-gaming tools, limits among them. Find that screen before the lobby.
